There are design, prototype and mold preparation costs that the customer must pay up front.

• determine precise dimensions/shape
• determine the degree of foam density and skin thickness
• create a CAD drawing
• design & fabricate a prototype mold
• prepare prototype
• adjust mold & formula as required
• test & confirm prototype
• determine the level of fire rating (tests not included)
• determine the level of UV inhibitor (tests not included)
• select Pantone color(s)
• fabricate production mold
• run a minimum of 500 pieces/color

This process can take several weeks and will require up-front design fees as well as pre-production and production expenses. Typical start-up cost for a new product is at least $1,000 dollars.
